AI is a broad field—and in calls with new clients, my experience has been that chronicling all the thoughts and knowledge I’ve gathered about intelligent systems is rarely the best use of time.
When a client is looking for an outside technical hire, they’re looking for one person that can provide high-impact results that make a tangible difference in their product. However, it turns out talent is scarce and there are no standard credentials for evaluating the plethora of AI consultants that promise billions in ROI.
Instead of continuing the tradition of initial engagements that feel more like job interviews or market exploration, I’ve decided to start writing about the common patterns I see in my work and the thoughts I have while working on AI systems.
My hope is that when I have a bit more free time, I’m able to not only share insights with other people interested in the field but also have a repository of writings that I can provide to clients that face similar problems, so I can get down to the business of what I do best: delivering results.
